IAB New Members Induction Ceremony and Certificate Distribution Ceremony to the IAB Registered Architectural Practices was held on 29 September 2018 at the IAB Centre.
Before the formal program began, IAB membership certificates and mementos were distributed to the newly inducted Associate Members & Members. The formal part began with an introduction of the significance of the ceremony by the Chairman, IAB Membership Committee Ar. Jalal Ahmed. Then the induction oath was conducted by the eminent scholar Dr. Syed Manzoorul Islam, Professor of English Dept. of Dhaka University. He then welcomed the new Fellows of IAB with “Uttorio” .Vice President of ARCASIA Ar. Dr. Abu Sayeed M Ahmed then handed over the certificates to the IAB Registered Architectural Practices.
After the ceremony, Prof. Monzoorul Islam delivered his Induction Speech and Ar. Dr. Abu Sayeed delivered his Motivational Speech. After their speeches, IAB President Ar. Kazi Golam Nasir delivered his concluding speech by welcoming the new members to IAB.
IAB President then presented the mementos and the newly published book “Architecture in a New Landscape” a collection of award winning works of IAB Members, to the invited guests. Finally, IAB Secretary, Membership Ar. Tofayel Md. Sarower delivered the vote of thanks.
After the formal part of the ceremony, Ar. Nandanangshu Dhrubo and his team sang a number of popular songs, which was enjoyed by young as well as the senior members of IAB.
The program ended with a sumptuous dinners hosted by IAB in honor of the new members.
