Four of our fellow architects have received awards during the "28th JK Architect of the Year Awards 2019" in three different categories.
Institute of Architects Bangladesh, IAB hosted an event on the 19th February 2020 at IAB Centre, where three recent award winning architects presented their projects.
Ar. Faysal Kabir Himun & Ar. Anup Kumar Basak (Framework) have been awarded the "Foreign Countries' Architect of the Year Award" for the project “Site Accommodation Facilities for Foreign Construction Staffs"
Ar. Asif Mohammed Ahsanul Haq (Venna Architects) has been awarded the "Foreign Countries' Commendation Award" for the project “Rizia Porompora”.
Ar. Rashed Hassan Chowdhury (Dehsarworks) has been awarded the "Foreign Countries' Young Architect Award" for the project “Ajo Idea Space”.
On the other hand Ar. Sharif Uddin Ahamed (Sthapotik) has been awarded the "Commendation Award" in the 9th Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture 2019 for the project “The Carnation”.
Due to some unavoidable circumstances Ar.Rashed Hassan Chowdhury could not attend the event to present his project.
After the presentations a discussion session was moderated by Ar.Taufiqur Rahman Khan, Secretary- Seminar & Convention, IAB.
